US CEO Paul Cohen leads share buyout and rebrands New York-based office as independent, purpose-driven agency.

NEW YORK — Milk & Honey PR’s US operation has split from the UK-headquartered agency and relaunched as an independent firm, Attention Comms, following a share buyout by US CEO Paul Cohen.

The move formalizes a transition for the New York–based team, which has operated under the Milk & Honey brand since entering the US market in 2021. Attention Comms will retain its current client base and team and continue operating from its Manhattan headquarters.

Cohen, who led the US expansion, now serves as CEO of Attention Comms. A 30-year communications industry veteran, he previously held senior leadership roles at Ketchum across its Shanghai, Hong Kong, Brussels and New York offices. He had served as a partner at the firm since 2010.

All current US team members are staying on under the new structure. Other terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“Over the past four years, we’ve built something special grounded in shared values, strategic rigor, and a belief that communications should drive real, lasting impact,” said Cohen. “As the newly independent Attention Comms, we are proud to continue empowering values-driven organizations to rise above the noise and communicate with clarity, impact, and purpose.”

Attention Comms will continue to focus on clients in sectors including health, technology, energy, social impact, nonprofit, and arts and entertainment. According to the company, it will offer brand storytelling, reputation strategy, thought leadership, and digital media engagement services.

The new firm’s launch marks the end of its affiliation with Milk & Honey and the start of an autonomous chapter for the US business.
